Worship Services

Good Shepherd offers several forms of worship services to accommodate the needs of all our parishioners.

Sunday Morning Worship

Traditional services are offered at 8 am (Rite I) and 10:15 am (Rite II) in the nave. The 10:15 am Rite II service, which offers healing prayers in the chapel during communion, is also live-streamed and posted on YouTube and Facebook. A family-oriented contemporary service is offered at 9:15 am in the Great Hall.

Music is a valued component of each and varies among the services. Piano is played during the more contemplative Rite I service, while Rite II employs piano, organ, choir, and, occasionally, the handbell choir. The family service is accompanied by guitar and is designed especially for families with young children, who are encouraged to take active roles in the procession, reading, or collecting prayer requests. In lieu of a sermon, the priest offers a message tailored to children.

Special Occasions

We celebrate special occasions, such as baptisms, confirmations, the Great Litany procession, Ash Wednesday, Palm Sunday Procession of Palms, Maundy Thursday with foot washing, Stations of the Cross, Good Friday Service with a 24-hour prayer vigil in the chapel, The Great Vigil of Easter Holy Eucharist (Saturday of Holy Week), the Live Nativity and Open House, and Christmas Eve Holy Eucharist.

Weekday Worship Services

Morning Prayer is offered on weekday mornings at 6:30 am via Zoom. Healing Prayer with the laying of the hands is offered at the church on Wednesdays at noon.

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,

It is our honor and privilege to praise and glorify You.  We treasure our communion with You as we receive Your spiritual food for strength and courage to do Your will.

Amen.
